KC Zoo Run - September 17, 2011

Each year, the Kansas City Zoo Run features a different endangered species. This year, our featured endangered species is the Black-Footed Cat, the smallest of Africa's wild cat species.

Portions of proceeds for the 2011 Zoo Run for the Black-Footed Cat will go to the Black-Footed Cat Working Group that is dedicated to research, tracking and conservation of Black-Footed Cats.

1 Mile Registration:

$14 - by Sept 5th

$16 - through Sept 16th

$16 - Packet PIckup/Registration - Ward Parkway Mall

$20 - Race Day Registration - Kansas City Zoo Main Entrance

1-Mile Start : Announcements will take place for lining up approximately, 9:20 a.m. Once entering into the Zoo, please proceed directly to the 4-Mile finish line area. The 1-mile start line is located South of the 4 mile start, near the Elephant Overlook trail. All 1-Mile participants need to register. Strollers for walking participants only are allowed in the 1-Mile event. Running or jogging with strollers/joggers is not permitted. Any child who can walk on their own will need to register. All children who stay in the stroller will not need to register.

4 Mile Registration:

$29 - by Sept 5th

$35 - through Sept 16th

$35 - Packet Pickup - Garry Gribble's Running Sports - Ward Parkway Mall

$40 - Race Day Registration - Kansas City Zoo Main Entrance

4-Mile Start: The 4-Mile will start northeast of the Starlight Office building inside the Meyer entrance of Swope Park on Starlight Road. Line up facing west. There is elite wave at 8:30 am and then start the main field using pacing charts, followed by a Stroller Wave for walkers only. No running or jogging with strollers/joggers allowed.
