Are you ready to celebrate a different kind of Independence Day? How about freedom from those extra pounds! Go ahead and enjoy your 4th of July picnics, because our next weight loss competition begins on Monday, July 8th. The format will be similar to last time but we will have smaller teams so it will be easier for people to communicate and support each other. The nine week competition will end just after Labor Day on Friday, September 6th. We will celebrate the fruits of your labor with an awards ceremony and some frozen treats.
Deadline for sign-ups is Wednesday, July 3rd!
Cost to participate is as follows:
$5.00 initial sign-up
$1.00 weekly weigh-in
$1.00 per lb penalty for each weight gain
$5.00 penalty for missing a weigh-in
Weekly weigh-ins may be done in the office or by snapping a picture of your toes on a scale. The first and last weigh-in must be done in the office to qualify for a prize. An exception will be made for anyone working out-of-town.
Progress will be posted on the blog as a percentage of weight lost. As always, actual weight will not be disclosed. As the designated privacy officer, Michelle Kaufman will be tracking weight and will take the numbers to her grave J
