Big Rx Savings Coming Soon
The patents for six of the ten top-selling medications are going to expire before the end of 2012 (see list below), meaning a huge price drop for millions of people who will be able to get their prescription drugs in generic form. Lipitor is the first major drug in this wave with the patent set to expire on November 30, 2011. If you are taking any name brand medications, make sure to discuss generic options with your doctor to see if you can take advantage of major savings.
Lipitor (cholesterol)
Plavix (blood thinner)
Actos (diabetes)
Lexapro (depression)
Zyprexa (anti-psychotic)
Singulair (asthma)
Diovan (blood pressure)
Enbrel (rheumatoid arthritis)
